The following lists some application uses of the mGen document generation system. They show how the system is utilized in various contexts for various purposes. By further improving upon the system while still adhering to the APIs defined in the framework, developers can improve text generation quality without having to rebuild the user interface.
The primary input component used in the MedView project, this is where all the data is input into the MedView knowledge base. The primary output component in daily use at the clinic is the MedSummary component, which summarizes the entered data in a human-readable journal-like form. In order to see how the entered data affects the generated output, the user is presented with an option to preview a journal based on the current data collection being entered. The information displayed on the screenshot is a fictive examination.
The primary output component used in the MedView project, this is where the data input by the MedRecords component is composed and presented to the clinician in a journal-like textual summary.
